Thumbs up Snaped some pics of the Sport today FYE

i snaped off a few pic today of the Sport because it was pritty warm (45 ) and most of the snow melted

Here she is from a distance on her "bad" side


Close up on her "good" side


The backside of her, with the best plate eva


Just put the Racing Beat Filter in and a new alt (which is why there is no fan shroud), i cut the top of the airbox off just leaving the sealing area for a little more air flow

Putting the lid back on with the snorkel will probably work better.

... how? only way i can see it working better is becasue it's getting somewhat colder air, but i'm putting on a headlight air duct to solve this problem

read closer my friend I had just finished installing a new alternator and was too lazy at the time to put it on. I'm leaving it off for now (not driving it) becasue I just got my electric fan and i'm waiting on my fan thermostat and relay from summit (expect a writeup )

headlight covers with vents do nothing unless you go through a shitload of work.

mount a $20 cone filter and call it a day, if not put the cover back on the box! cuz hes right it will get dirty fast... very fast

The air is not somewhat colder, it is colder.

The only good replacements for the stock setup are a performance filter in the stock box, or a cone filter with cold air induction.

I wish it was just as easy and putting the stock top on, I cut the top half of the box off... oh well I had to get a new filter one way or another becasue i think the one that was in it was the stock one from 87 it was black and you couldn't even see thru it if you held it up to the sun. I still dont see how this setup would be any different then say a "hot" air intake. I sanded the bottem of the box smooth and smoothed the entry into the AFM. meh whatever, I like it so you guys dont have to

make a heatshield to block off the radiator air, add some aluminum flashing, and put the snorkel leading back over to the air filter
