turbo mufflers
i was wondering if anyone has tried using the turbo mufflers they sell at pepboys/autozone/advacedauto/jegs. thye are about 30 bucks or so. says they are quite till you womp on it then its gets loud. i have 2.5 exhaust all the way back including the downpipe with one hight flow V-8 catalytic converter. at this time with two apexi style mufflers and its just so loud. i dont mind it being loud when i get on it just not at normal crusing. i dont mind a bit of rumble but its pretty loud at times.
just wanted to know if anyone has tried these and liked them.
this would be for a 87 N/A.

A "turbo muffler" is a type of high-flow muffler that has minimal sound suppression properties because it relies on the turbine wheel to soak up a lot of the noise. It is generally not a good idea to install turbo mufflers on an NA RX-7. This may be part of the problem you have now with your Apexi knock-offs if they are patterned after the Apexi turbo mufflers. Also, cheap mufflers are usually made out of thin metal, which does not suppress the noise as well as thicker metal.
