Smoking Crazy juice smoking!

Alright when I start my 87 up some mornings its fine and dandy, but soon as i push it past 3800rpm it smokes like a mother ****** that just had half a gallon of ATF dumped into it. it goes away after a few blocks have been exterminated...But im sure this cant be good. Like I said its totally fine unless i go over 3800rpm. And after its done smoking alot i can push it all over the rpm spectrum and it runs just fin, no smoke.

Need more info. Black (fuel) smoke or white/grey (oil) smoke?

T2 or NA?

If its a T2 pull the intercooler off and see if there is any oil residue in the intake. If there is, then the seals in your turbo have gone, and you need a rebuild.

its NA and only after 3800rpm if i push the car hard right after a start up. Is it a rear rotor problem?

make sure U let the car warm-up long enough to bring the temp guage up... otherwise U will only do more damage... my RXs do a little smoking until they are warmed-up; and all the other owners around here that I have talked to say the same thing...

Agreed. ReTed was mentioning something in another thread about the thermowax holding the secondary intake butterflies closed until the car reaches normal operating temps. The smoke you see is probably because of the thermowax and the car running rich. Let it warm up first or get out plenty of cash for a rebuild.

Ya, aren't you supposed to let all cars warm-up before you drive them anyways? I always thought so and after I get my engine rebuilt I'm getting a remote start system put on to start my car a few minutes before I need to leave somewhere.
