smoking

Ok, I am putting my car's intake manifold bakc on after porting it. It is leaking somewhere badly because it idles high and will not go back down. It is also smoking form around the intake manifold (I think). I can not tell what kind of smoke it would be? Any suggestions?

ok, I think that the smoking is the remaining ATF fluid that I used. I thought it should all be gone. Do you have to adjust your idle screw when you port? I turned it down and it idles better but dies due to leaks I assume. I think that my trottle cable was just stuck and that is why it was reving so high. Well I removed my AVC valve and I am going to JB weld a plate there tonight. I may just go ahead and remove the BAC. I am tryin gto plug all the vacuum lines that are not being used.
