well my 87 TII smokes ne time you take it to about 6k and let off. thers no oil in the intake behind the turbo so its not a turbo seal...omp is gone so its not sticking. i have run out of ideas. it runs ok. but then again its got 150,xxx on it. ne thoughts would be appreciated.

Your motor is near its end....Average lifespan says that it will pop soon... but your smoking is coming from your oil seals....if it takes 6k for the car to smoke then that is not bad...ive seen cars where 4k is all it takes to pull a smoke screen.

Seals.

If you wait until a seal shatters you generally have to replace the rotor housing and rotor that lost the seal, also, if you spit an apex seal through your turbo it's bad news. I've also seen some irons ruined through apex seal shatter. These things dont ALWAYS happen however, as you can split an apex seal on its edge but it's not common in the least.
