i have a 87 turbo2 and it starts smoking when you let it idle for a little it seems like it is kinda blue smoke but i wanted to know what can it be and also it idles kinda funny like if it has a cam can it be the turbo or the engine the smoke almost goes way when you drive

 

my 87 does that too, thought mine was the turbo so I checked the intercooler hose. theres a little residue but not sure if its enought be the root of the smoke.

 

i also have smoke coming out of the oil fill tube so would that mean it is a side seal

 

What you got there is the classic "lumpy" idle...... this usually means that your motor is toast, that, in conjunction with the smoke comming out the filler tube is telling me that something took a dump in your motor.

do a compression test and if its bad, quite driving it so that you don't roach the shole thing.

 

i stoped driving it the other day i kind of did a compression test and with a regular one and i got all the jumps the same and got like 115 on both rotors
