Question smoke

ok ive noticed this, that when i start my car occassionally it will idle at 3k and dump a crazy lot of smoke. I know that idling at 3k at start up is fine but is the smoke fine? Also if i am just sitting there and i rev to about 6k a big cloud of smoke comes It only comes after about 2 seconds of idling there but it is a lot. Should i be worrried?

sounds like leaking oil seals.... im preety sure its not something to be super worried about, but the only way to fix it is with a rebuild

what color is the smoke? If its blue its oil seeping past the oil control rings on the rotors and burning off when you start the car. Can't be corrected without a rebuild, but until it get worse, not a major concern. (worse being when it smokes the entire time the engine is running.)
If its black, its cause you are running rich. On startup it means the extra gas may be from a leaky injector.
White smoke is coolant, which means its leaking past the water seal and into the rotor(s). Also can't be fixed without a rebuild. There are ways to prolong the useage of an engine in this condition, but the longer coolant is getting past the water seal, it could cause rust to the internal engine parts cause coolant is a corrosive and this will require the replacement of even more parts when you do a rebuild.
