Smog Test Failed...

so i just came back from getting my rx smog tested in california. sadly, it failed all cause my idle was at 1000 RPM instead of the 750 it's suppose to be at. =[

talk about being picky

Man, look, some people like their idle high.

It's 'custom.' EVERYONE idles below 1K, but it takes a real classy ride to idle at or above it!

1K is nice, but I have mine set to 3K! You gotta do the "Take off some vac hoses and/or drill holes in the intake manifold" mod for that kind of idle! And its nice and smooth too! None of that lopey RX-7 idle for me! No sir!

it's not that i have to reset the idle. it's the fact that they failed my car for having my idle a lil to high even though it's set at 750 but sometimes it jumps to 1000 sometimes and they are charging me another 25$ for a retest which is total crap ..

if it sometimes jumps then there is something that needs fixing (probably TPS or a vac leak).
