slapped my oil temp/pres. adapter on...

took like 5 minutes.

one question though... it says on the RB website "1/8-inch female pipe for oil pressure and 3/8-inch female pipe for oil temperature"...

shouldn't that be reversed since most gauge's temp. sensors require 1/8th and pressure sensors require 3/8th? or does it matter?

also, has anyone ever try nordskog gauges? that's what i'll be using. any experience with those?

Most oil pressure sensors are 1/8"NPT.
Most old-school temp sensors are 3/8"NPT.
I used VDO gauges, and the sensors fit right in.
I think the Autometer ones are those sizes too.

Some of the newer Japan stuff are not these common sizes.

You just need to find adapters to make them work for you.

ditto what RETed said, most common pressure sensors have a smaller pipe thread fitting, oil/coolant sensors usually have a large fitting because of the larger surface area they require, some temp sensors are smaller but not usually.

edit for last reply: try your local hardware store, they are more likely to have brass pipe adapters than your local parts store does.

Try Homedepot or Lowes. They have a good selection of brass fittings. Not much metric brass but SAE.
