single and stupid light exhaust question?
i just replace my exhausts system and i think the motor is running' hotter than the normal .....i check my tail pipe after about a 30 miles freeway drive and is preety hot!!!!!my other question is ........why the overheat ex..light does't come on ....and how does that light warning system works!!thax

1. Exhaust gas makes metal hot.
2. You now have the same exhaust flow that was previously coming out of two pipes coming out of one pipe.
3. You increased horsepower and are running leaner. This increases exhaust temps.
Do you actually know your engine is running hotter, or are you just speculating by your exhast?
Exhaust may be thinner metal, blah blah blah...
who cares if your exhaust is hotter? Care about your engine vital's and a/f ratio, not how much heat comes out your tail-pipe. (Save your EGT comments... you can't 'feel' tuning changes to EGT via your hand.)

anything over 3800 is basically working your motor so it is going to run hotter does it rise a little and stay or does it just keep trucking cause that would be a really bad sign
