Single Rotor?

So here's the problem, my car will run but only on the back rotor (actually i think the front rotor is helping some, but not much. It has no compression). How reliable will this car run on a single rotor? I'm planning on buying a new motor, but i need this car now. So will i be in any kind of danger running this thing as it is, or should i wait?

Take it for a test spin and you will quickly realize you won't be able to drive it around on just one rotor. Tremendous power loss, un-balancing of engine, you'll see. Plus you will be dumping all kinds of unburnt fuel down the pipes. I'd say take of the exhaust manifold and look in that front housing with a light. Check if you have a thrown apex or maybe one is just stuck in the apex, you may be able to loosen it: there is a method, I don't know so you'll have to search for it.

" when I said apex stuck in the apex" I meant an apex seal stuck in the apex groove in the rotor

You can drive it, it'll just feel like your driving on double a batteries. the strain might let the other rotor go sooner, but I've heard stories of people having to take one trips on 1 rotor. If your getting a rebuilt, might as well have some fun with it for bragging rights.

i drove 165 miles home on one rotor(blew a seal on the rear rotor) at 80 mph. once u get up to speed she runs good ,but acceleration sucks , gas milege sucks, uphills sucks, bu otherr than that its a dream to drive

I'm pretty sure it's lost at least 2 apex seals because it has zero compression and i've tried all the methods that have been told to me for a stuck seal. Using ATM fluid and other suchs things, not working at all.

The engine starts up, and if you pull the plug wires from the rear rotor (dumb i'm sure) the engine keeps going. It just won't start with the back unplugged. It's messed up.

I had an engine that toasted the rear rotor, they are a PITA to drive. In reality, I wouldnt drive around with only one rotor, just pull the engine and get it rebuilt. Trying to drive on only one rotor makes it more likely that you are causing more damage and any good core parts left in your engine.
