iam having trouble getting my stock shift **** off

could someone please tell me the technique or method on how to remove it

i tried it and it still won't move an inch

Dood, its really hard sometimes. You may want to try to get the boot down and get a wrench on the lower part. It really shouldnt be that hard to remove, I wonder if someone messed something up on that car.

I had to use a pipe wrench to get mine off, it was on there real solid. make sure you are turning it the right way too. But yeah, use a wrench or you'll just hurt your hands.

 

Undo little string, pull cover down shaft. Stickin' an 8-ball on there?

 

I dunno about you guys but I never had any problems with any FC's shift ****. Now separating the upper shifter shaft from the lower part can be a PITA.

 

ok i guess i'll try and just get a good grip and yank as hard as i can with the wrench

if iam in the driver's seat i turn the **** to the left right???

Ya mine is REALLY hard to get off, i always try to, but it will never come off, I don't know what the deal is with it...

 

Someone probably super-glued the thing on there. try using a heat gun or something. good luck

 

What's your problem? I move mine every time I shift almost...ya wussies!!
