clutch/flywheel

im not sure how this works. but im swapping auto -> manual, and i got an excedy clutch kit, but im not sure what kinda flywheel will fit on that, somebody that i was talking to told me that u needed a specific flywheelt to fit ur clutch or somethign is this true?

yeah.. the flywheels are specific for s4 and s5.. s4 ones are different cuase they have a counterwieght or something

The clutch, if is made for a 2nd gen NA I'm assuming will fit either flywheel (wether it be s4 or s5) but the flywheel's are different, so you need to match it to your cars year.

ohhk, thanx that makes perfect sense i think i was getting the wrong impression, so ill just get an s5 flywheel

if ya have the $$$ get lightened flywheel and just use the auto counterweight of your car and it will be sweeet

I agree, search parts trader, since you allready hae your own balance weight, whihc is balanced to yuor motor, id look for a cheap aluminum flywheel on parts trader gsl-se al the way to S5 after market flywheels will work if you have the proper balance weight, which you do. I got mine off parts trader, was listed as a gsl-se part so no one else wanted it, i got it for like 250 bucks, went to a junkyard picked up an s4 auto counter weight and was set. aluminum flywheels really do make a huge differance in lower gears.
