Silly S5 conversion Q

Just wondering if the S4 fenders will line up with the S5 fenders.

Id like to go 13B-T and get the TII hood..S5 lights and bumpers.

I may have read something about this before but for the life of me I cannot find it..and searches come up with engine swaps only *shrug*

moldings on s4 and s5 are different,
\the bumpers will go on an S4(if you are putting s5 On) but they will be off a bit on the Molding,.
You can swap the fenders AND bumper(front).everything will line up then.
\you may have to hook the fogs up to a Aftermarket switch and wiring,as it may not be on the s4 harness..
I'll know more about the signal lights tomorrow,I got an S4 Chassis with a Fiberglass front bumper, putting in s5 Signals.
N/A to Turbo on an S5 is a Snap.plug and play I hear(but I would look that up.as I am swapping in a tII onto a s4 n/a chassis)

I own an S13 too but im debating on concentrating on the FC as the main project and "play car"

Occasional mountain runs...Auto-X, a few track days here and there. Im still debating on wether to stick with my slow car/fast driver philosophy and just rebuild an N/A to stick in it..or to go Turbo.

Seems like S5 motor sets are much easier to come by

Seems like a good deal. Of course i would probably end up rebuilding it too. I know theres a lot of misconception about the reliability of rotaries (Turbo particularly)..Im not considering having to rebuild one because "zomg they are unreliable" but might as well restore it to 100% original condition with new housings, seals etc so I can be sure its taken care of properly throughout its life and wont leave me stranded on a trip 4 hours from home.

Enough to look funny. Just take a look at the red S5 in the RX7Club banner at the top of the page, and compare to your S4. The trim isn't the same shape; it has a groove towards the bottom instead. You'd also have to either paint the S5 bumper's "trim" black to match the S4 style, or paint everything a solid color S5 style.

S4/S5 fenders are no different from each other, except that a stock S5 fender will come with holes in it for the moldings, a s4 has taped on moldings.

You DO NOT need to change your fenders.

You will need to get S5 front lenses

side markers and flash to pass are the same.

To put skirts on the car will require some drilling and fastening

I know what I speak of, here are 3 pictures, one shows my s4 convertible with JUST a S5 bumper, another shows my convertible after full s5 conversion, and lastly there is my S5 coupe with S4 bumper!
