Yeah, I used needles to clean my coolant system too. If you put a sheet of mylar over your hub before you go dancing, the wing will make it fly.

See what you sound like? YOU DON"T MAKE SENSE

I don't want to be rude but, If you are not knowledgable in something ask a question? Silk thread is used to seal mating surfaces of engine when a gasket is not required.

Hmm... I dunno. Never heard of anything like that before. Sounds a little like one of those "home-made" car remedies. If a gasket isin't required, then does it really have to be sealed... with silk thread? But I guess the worst it can do is get burned thread on the surface, and maybe smell.

I guess I just saw a low post count and poor wording. Mating surfaces I get... "parting surfaces" aided in my confusion as to why you'd do anything like this.

Never heard of this before, sounds uniquely interesting. It may work well on tranny rebuilds and possibly the front cover. Not sure if it would be useful elsewhere though.

I can't really think of anywhere you would even need to.

Even though the seal between the combustion chamber and water jacket is very small, I didn't know if any one did this or tried it. Specially since the housings are sandwiched aluminum/steal which is room for openings. You know its better than the same questions seen on this forum everyday (swap question, turbo n/a questions)

Parting surfaces, mating surfaces. In some point of the life of the engine it was part and the other point mating.

There are seals in there already - the o-rings.

I think for the most part, people use RTV for sealing things where there are no gaskets. It's a gasket maker compound that works quite nicely.
