signs of future apex failure???
are there any signs of an upcoming apex seal failure???
SOmeone told me if my car hard to start (when i just shut it off) it means the rear rotor is fixin to pop, anyhow, i have an 87 TII runs good (exhaust leak fixin to fix) but like i said when i shut it off and it doesnt cool, it is usually floods, its reading 171k, but no clue how many are on the engine. Thanks in advance

do a compression check, that will tell you the status of the seals.
If there are no problems with the way it runs don't worry about it. If it blows then rebuild it.
Are you just asking this because of bad rumors about the rotary, or do you have an actual reason?

i have an 87 t2 with 124K on the engine and it would flood like you said but thats not cause i have low compression but because my fuel injectors where dirty and leaked

yeah, flooding is usually due to 16 year old injectors. If it idles rough and has little power, then it's probably the seals.
BTW TII's like to flood a lot more than N/A's.

dude i just blew my rear rotor, 87TII 73,000 miles no emissions dp, dp straight pipe all that good stuff, great compression, pushin 10-11 psi boost 3rd and fourth, and just like that pow! it took a crap! 130 psi front rotor 0 rear, tried atf, it got me a little more compression but time for a rebuild, BUMMER! Anyway drive her till she *****.

it has great power, just when i first start it and its cold, it tries to die (i have to run it hard or just run it for a little while, then it settles down (without dying. by the way, how would you tackle the exhaust manifold gasket on a turbo???, i am going to run a compression check in the morning.
