signs of a blown strut????
ok i think i may have had a little bit too much fun drifting this past weekend and messed up something. i did a really hard left turn drift and had a wee bit too much oversteer and did a complete 360 but managed to keep driving afterwards. its quite cool really if i was trying to do it on purpose probably couldnt get it. anyways, on to the question. when im driving along now my front right tire seems to be bouncy. im mean extremly bouncy. to the point were when im doing 70 on the highway my steering wheel starts to shake really hard. my aligment seems ok but not 100%. tire pressure normal and all have about the same thread depth. is this the sign of a messed up suspension?

if its just blown out you will also see fluid coming out of the seal between the shaft and the body
easyest test go push down on that corner of the car it should just come back up and stop if it keep bouncing up and down its blown
i have ebach springs and KYB/AGX struts and its hard to even push my car down and if i manage it when it comes back up it stops moving immediatly

...94% correct.
^haha...took me a while to respond...lol
yeah...the front struts are a major part of the suspension. A problem with it will show it's self in the the steering and over all handling of the car. You could also walk outside, and put all your weight on the car over the suspected strut and see if it will bounce. IT shouldn't, and if you can actually dribble your car, it's really fucked.
Funny story...my supra has shocks all around, so the actual driving isn't effected when they're gone...you just get a lot of bounce over bumps and stuff. My rear struts were so bad that you could walk behind the car and start dribbling it and actually get enough spring in the suspesion to lift the rear wheels up off the ground.
