yesterday i got beat by a civic........he gained a car on me off the start and we stayed the same all the rest of the way until about 60mph then i had to change lanes. damn my cars slow which brings me to my question.
what do you guys think about putting a supercharger in my 86 gxl. i need to do something to at least beat a civic.
what extra stuff do i need to do when sticking a supercharger in. any and all information is welcome. thanks

Some thing that you could do first is to upgrade the exhaust. This is the best and easiest way to gain HP. You could easily gain 25 to 30 hp with a header, Pre-Silencer, and catback. Look at www.Racingbeat.com for exhaust. There are superchargers out there but you would have to do a lot of work to get them to work. Plus the exhaust is about 1000 dollars and a supercharger is at least 2000-3000 dollars. It is up to you but I would upgrade the exhaust first if you could.
