Side exit exhaust
haha, yeah, i had a side pipe on mine for a few weeks when i first got my car running, before i had an actual exhuast. it was so ungodly loud that i actually had people tell me they thought it was an airplane coming in to town. never took a picture though, and it was so loud that its probably very much illegal.
I've always just wanted to make my exhaust come our of the passenger fender. Right above the tire, and theh shoot @ a 45* angle back at someone trying to pass me on that side. But that's just me.

Geez that car looks scary. Im likin the El Camino thing hes got, but I wouldnt want that to be permanent. I was thinkin of havin my exhaust beneath the doors, directly in front of the rear wheel.
If done up like the more recent Dodge Vipers with a body kit to make it look less out of place, then i think it would look quite nice. Hell, should even be able to fit a muffler in there with it that way.

I drove mine open header for about a week while waiting for my new exhaust to come in. It is unbelievably loud. So loud that you can't really appreciate it unless you hear it in person. I only floored it once and my ears were ringing for several minutes. Turning it on could set off car alarms several blocks away.
Sorry....I'll try and take a pic tonight, but my car is really dirty. lol
As far as......"is it loud"...it's retarded loud right now. It's 3" mandrel off the turbo, with a 36" glasspack, then kicks out the side right before the passenger rear tire. I need to figure something else out....with the passenger window down (no ac) it numbs my ears after a while.
....and as far as the flames.....yeah, it's pretty kewl seeing flames in your passenger-side mirror....or driving at night, because you can see the flames right out your window.
