scathcart, nice on the 20b, but , im here to stay, so leave yourself. i still think an convertible with the top down during the summer sun, looks a hell of a lot nicer than a car with out a drop top. yea the 20b will eat my car, you dont frive with the hood open, so no one sees it (although they'll prob hear that ****!! thats like a 9 cyl) just for my info, where did u get the 20b motor, and how much? i go for looks, with speed as my second goal.

You cannot compare pistons to rotors. Even if you could that would be a pretty small 9c cyl.

Looks can be argued. I hate the look of vert's, and they're annoying to drive.

Performance can not be argued, and I whoop you in every aspect.

20B is all new parts. You could buy a used one from FC3s.org, when they have them.

i didnt mean to compare ****-tons to rotors, but i know one rotor is = to 3 of them *****.... and a 20B is like driving a viper engine. maybe ill drop a 20b in my car instead of the turbo or charger...

what trans do you use with the 20b? a tII, along with the tII drivetrain? and is the 20b turboed, or n/a?

one more question...does fc3s.org also sell the intake and **** ill need to create a 20b motor from nothing?

be prepared to spend about 12k just to put the engine in your car... oh and thats if you do it yourself. if you have someone else do it it will cost more for labor.

20B comes with stock twins. I will not be using them.

It'll bolt up to the TII drivetrain, but I am utilising a custom six speed. TII drivetrain gets a little sketchy when you get up in the 700+ hp range that is "easy" with a 20B.

FC3s.org engines are long blocks. intake manifolds, turbo unit, engine, alt, water pump, flexplate, etc.

thanks. just as a guess, what did everything cost you? and where the hell did you find a 6 spd tranny? how do you get it to bolt to the engine, and if so, can it be bolted to my engine? a 6spd would be sick, and hopefully a lot stronger than mazda's shitty 5 spd!!

hey, what do the rpms go up to on a 20b? 9000 like the 3rd gen, more or less? and is it slow off the line cause theres more turning? is this the cosmo engine, or is someone making them?

i have a question for the starter of this form What was the point of creating this form if you want someone's opinion and then try and get all hot headed and start yelling at everyone?

-I think this forum should be closed because it is stupid and all of the dumb comments some people have made.

And personally im not a fan of a convertible because i find them ugly thats my opinion though. For me its a coupe or t2

But the nose doesn't match the rest of the car. RE2000 is a kit, not just a nose. The kit looks great, but the nose on its own looks like crap because it completely unbalances the car. Without the skirts and rear apron the car just looks nose-heavy. It also makes the wheels look too small. All that money and no 17's?
who cares if there is no turbo, the car can **** on any n/a around, ive done it already.
Ah, back to bragging. Most people around here realise that a 'vert, even with mild engine mods, is not a fast car. Please don't try to make us think it is.
...im looking at some of the cars that are owned in here, and please...all rx7 are respected, god's little creatures, but some are so bone stock, and worn paint, with so few mods listed.
Not everyone likes to announce to the world how much money they've sunk into their car. And the "they're all RX-7's" line doesn't excuse poor taste. Just like any car, there are good RX-7's and crap RX-7's. A slightly worn bone stock RX-7 will be better received around here than one modified like yours, especially when you brag how much better you think it is than other cars here.
...but this car is maxed out, and deserves a little respect.
Maxed out? Please, if you think your car is 'highly modified', you need to pay a bit more attention to a lot of the other cars around here. As for respect, I think after all these responses you should realise that most forum members place performance above looks, and have no respect at all for a car that's modified purely to attract people's attention and stroke the owner's ego. We all love a good looking car, but yours just ain't...
jealousy runs rampid in this relm....
Seriously, I doubt there are many people here who are jealous of your car. Some will be jealous of the spare cash you seem to have, but I don't think anyone would spend it the way you have.

It's pretty obvious from all your posts that you have a prety high opinion of yourself and your car. That was plain to see from your emotional, insult- and profanity-filled responses to critisism. So far you managed to offend or annoy just about everyone who's posted. That sort of attitude isn't welcome around here, so if you were looking for someone to stroke your ego, you've come to the wrong forum. Relax a bit, show a little respect for everyone elses opinions (and cars), and you'll be welcome. Otherwise, you won't.

the side skirts are on their way, no decent rear aprons around that ive seen yet...

im not looking for a boost in my ego, i just figured that if there was anyplace in the world that would love to see my car, it would be here. i get excited even when i see a shitty old 7 with some old fart driving it. i just dont like being flamed by people with nothing done to their car...

i would hope i have a high opionion of my car, i put my life into it.

im still looking into 17's...don't they scrape the inside of the fenders? my 16's will every once in a while. a 17" would defenatly, and i still have some reading to do b 4 im convinced a 17 will not negitively effect the car, other than the firmer ride. the 16's at times and hard turns feel a buit unstable.

the only performance upgrades i havent done is getting boost, otherwise, i have modded the n/a to the max. what else is there to do to a n/a motor that i havent done?...prepherial port? for something that will be driven every day, this car is maxed out. if there is anything else i can do other than boost, please let me know, and it'll be on there within a week. i still havent decided how to go about getting boost, but for a mid-way project as it is, i think it is something to at least boast about, but im not trying to convince anyone that my car is the best in here, nor the fastest, so dont get the wrong impression. anything i say is for either fun, or is a comeback to something that has offended me.

im in here cause i love rx7's

As for jcina: I am offended by you saying that other RX-7 owners are jealous? What? We are a community, come on...

Is there someone wrong with a stock car? I'm 17 and I have loved RX-7s for at least 5 of those years and I cannot afford to modify my car. I spend enough on gas, insurance, repairs etc that I have not been able to save for the mods I want.

I didn't know that was mathematically possible.

OK, fine...... He may not be that bright.... But his car is definetly nice.... Heres a quick picture of mine, Pretty much bone stock 88' VERT cleaned up to be as nice as a stock can be,I KNOW THE PIC IS BAD AND THE CAR LOOKS DIRTY WITH BRAKE DUST AND I LOST MY "FLASH TO PASS" lenses (2) accidents ago (Involving a limo) DONT ASK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO PLEASE DONT FLAME ME THAT BAD!!!!!! NEW <STOCK> '90 SEATS- CARPET, TOP, and more bullshit... I don't understand how people can hate the looks of the vert but it seems from this forum that many do. And yes I dont think 99 out of 100 people could ever be possible, but in the drug and alcohol fueled word of "JCINA7" that might be in the realm of possibilty... I mean **** if I would dump $30,000 into a 13 year old car, gimme a break. I would probably be driving a 500+hp 3rd GEN.

Just my .02 cents.

When you do a PP.. your engine will not last as long as it would with a Bridge port. Most PPs are for heavy duty racing. Not street....

As for commenting that Stock rx7s are useless or whatever you said.. uhh, sorry but no they're not. Sure, they're not as fast as a modded rx-7, but as said millons of times, who cares? People don't always look for speed.

By the way.. you've changed you answers too many times in this thread.

First you wanted speed, and not looks, then you switched it, so which is it?

Anyway, I think alot of people have lost ALOT of respect towards you. Your language is inexcusable. Your attitude is just rude - Noone is going to respect you with that sort of attitude. You asked for opinions, we gave it. You didn't like it, tough. Live with it. When you talk/type (whatever you shall call it) you talk like a 14 year old.

Seriously, chill out. Don't ask us for opinions, if you can't behave properly nor have common sense that people will disagree with you one way or another. Oh, and adding another name to insult us is real mature - More props for you, if it boosts your ego any higher!

BTW, 100 out of 99 is pretty well.. uhh how do you do that math problem? I don't think it's possible.

Wheel diameter has nothing to do with whether the tyres rub. If the tyre width, overall diameter and offset are unchanged, it'll be no different to stock. You should pick a tyre that maintains stock overall diameter anyway. If the right width and offset are selected, rubbing won't be a problem.
...and i still have some reading to do b 4 im convinced a 17 will not negitively effect the car, other than the firmer ride. the 16's at times and hard turns feel a buit unstable.
FC's came with 16's stock. So if your 16's make the car feel unstable, it's either your suspension mods or your driving, not the wheels. And there are are literally hundreds of FC's running 17's without problems, so don't worry about it, just get them. Soon.

And stop starting new threads!!

btw..i would ultamately like to achieve an equality between looks and speed

and i never said stock 7's are useless, i just commented on the fact that people with pics of stock 7's as their car were picking apart the mods on my car, which is ok, but when people with stock and old looking 7's are trashing my car, i will get defensive.

when someone puts as much time and love into something as i did, it sucks to hear people trash your work. i know the car in reality does NOT look like a toilet trout, PEEJAY...maybe the rims, but not the car.

But you brought about the insults and such yourself. People will treat you based on how you represent yourself. Pitting yourself as a 14 year old thug will get you treated as such.
