It's hard to do show competing with the ******** that have brand new cars with lots of money, I mean, they don't have to worry about rust, or importing a $2000 body kit from japan. Not to mention the FC's look nice, but not that nice, so they have a better platform to begin with.
As for go, however, it's hard to compete with the DSMs, period. Bang for buck = Turbo DSM. I miss my Eclipse GS-T.. But in time I'm sure my RX-7 will be fast enough..in time.

Both are important, but I'm not starting on show until the go is well on its way Oh and in January I'm ordering the RE kit and getting the whole car painted.

I'm all about go.

The stock look makes me happy. I prefer to spend my money under the hood.

Performance over appearance, hands down.

let em drool and don't get suckered into a race

I say go is the priority. After all, we are mostly 7-freaks here and our cars were built to go as the main goal. Show came as a second, but no less important. If you can afford it... both is the way to go... show keeps up the value of your car car more than go. It's easy to sell a ragged out car that looks better IMO.

Although there is something really attractive about driving a "sleeper" that would put the smack down on an expensive import.

I don't care about speed that much. I mean, when are you ever really going to use it. My favorite car is a completely decked out Civic CX.

If your car looks good, I say put the money into go.
If a car looks like a pile, I say put the money into show until it looks good. Then spend it on the go.

"looks good" meaning good paint and interior. not extravagant.

I don't care how fast something is if it looks like ***. I wouldn't drive an ugly car. That is why I have 2 FC's.

Nothing pisses me off more than a riced-out something or a nother that has the $3000 custom paint job, $2000 chrome rims w/ low profile tires, tinted windows so you can't see the wannabe-pimp driver inside, that "custom" spoiler that makes the entire vehicle look like a walk behind lawn mower, the $300 muffler at the end of the stock restictive 1 1/8" exhaust system sounding like a wheezing go cart, the overpowering $1800 stereo system alerting all the other drivers that this vehicle has cheaply manufactured interior plastic trim via that rattle that only a monkey pounding on a ton of pepsi cans can duplicate. Then when the light turns green, this vehicle, resembling a christmas tree with the multitude of neon and flourescent lights, tries its damndest to flex some sort of mechanical muscle while getting to the next light, failing miserably as the '84 Ford Tempo in the next lane effortlessly keeps pace and arrives at the next light within a car length.

Can I vent for a minute? I voted GO! (zoom zoom)

like what was said earlier, as long as your car is not a rusted out pile of what could have been a **** box at one time, then put your money twards the butt-dyno fund.

you should see the faces on the local mustangs with "by by rice boy" stickers when they get there *** handed to them my a 1.3L My car is in really bad shape with hail damage and dents. since my car going down for the winter for a complete motor build! i'm going to add some show to it!

I'm really looking at the RE front end with bomex side skirts and rear bumper? Or the full GP Sports kit W\O the spoiler. I hate seeing honda's driving around with primer body kits and half shaved door handles i didn't want to start a project that i could not finish in a short period of time, our cars are so much fun to drive! Well with the motor pulled and haltech being installed i can paint the engine bay and all the door, hatch jam's

Go will always win over show, but since my daily driver is a pickup truck, that's irrelevant.

I can't get excited about my race car unless the car is the total package. Performs as well as my wallet will allow, but doesn't look like a turd. Some race cars I see at the track look like they haven't been maintained in years. No pride.

Yeah, the car has to look good, and mine do or they don't go to the track, but it mostly has to go like stink!
