I'm not trying to get in a fight with anyone but a lot of you guys don't know what you're talking about.. I just sold my s13 for a fc. It had a RB20DET and was my daily driver for a good 6 months. This was my first car and I did the swap completely by myself, it was extremely easy. It is the exact same swap as the sr except for wiring and the fact that you a way to mount it in there. Guess what, there are tons of ways to do it ! If you get a R32 GTS-t front clip then you can use the crossmember and tranny mount from that, the only promblem is that you will need to shim the hood or cut out the skeleton from the underside. If you get a A31 Cefrio clip you can use that crossmember and tranny and it will fit PERFECT (also the A31 front sway bar you get on the clip is thicker than ST sway bars and bolts right up!!). On my car I bought an A31 front clip from JarcoInc (jarcoinc.com). It came with a FMIC, turbo timer, 3" downpipe, driveshaft, and rear subframe that had a kaaz 2-way LSD in it, and I got it for $2295 shipped to my door. The entire drivetrain on my car is A31. The S13 I was putting it into cost me $400 and it was running and the body/interior were in perfect condition. At the time I didnt know the A31 mounting stuff worked so I got TopHat mounts for $175, which work perfect as well. At the time when I did the swap all I really knew how to do was change oil and do minor mechanical work, now I know S13's inside and out and got a job at a Nissan Dealer as a service tech mainly because of my car.

Even though my car was extremely fast and ran perfectly, if I could do it again I would just turbo the KA. I decided to sell it because even though it was fast as hell, I couldnt control it AT ALL with stock suspension / brakes. It has been shown that weight in the front is changed less than 1% provided you move the battery to the back, at least thats how my car weighed out. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask me.

First off you want to buy an s14 which would probably go for 3800-5000 dollars(buy my 95 if you really want). You also insist on swapping an rb25 or an rb20 (pointless) because they are "BIGDOG" engines. i dont think its because they are "BIGDOG" engines i think its because someone has seen 2fast 2furious way too many times and cant get over the skyline hype. Now for you to swap in an rb25 it would cost about $3600 from phase2motortrend, a reputable website for jdm engines, not ebay where you would have to deal with a possible inexperienced seller, cut harness, no ecu, bad turbo, etc. You would need to fabricate intercooler piping since you are using a 6 cyl engine in an engine bay designed for a 4 cyl. Which brings me to the point of why would you want to swap in that engine? The sr20 can produce as much horsepower and it would be less money lighter weight and very streetable. The 240 would handle like **** with an rb in it, so you would have to go with shocks/struts or coilovers. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that motor mounts to swap in an rb cost $1000 alone when you wouldn't even need new mounts for an sr20. Now for whatever it cost to put an rb(250hp-280hp) in or you could have a 400hp sr or ka and money left over. i could go on for another 3 or 4 pages pointing out the mistakes in the information youve given and just your general lack of knowledge pertaining to the 240sx. also what the hell was the point of posting in a rx7 forum to ask about what car to buy what the hell do you think people will say. id tell you to buy a dsm and get the amount of power you want for very little money but i dont want to see you ruin ANY good cars so go buy a honda and have fun rice boy!

p.s. If you want another opinion try posting on Zilvia or Fresh Alloy.

yea u could get a dsm...but you probably want something you can actually drive everynow and , i never saw a s14 with a rb25et swap in 2f2f but if u say so, about the mounts if he got the rb20 he could just use the crossmember from the rb20 front clip and if he does his own install and i think he said his dad owns a shop he can get the rb25 for if not much more than the sr20 and he can get the rb20 for less than the sr, and whats wrong with honda's, if there built right they can be very powerful cars, but i dont want to start a fight with any of the "older" ppl here because they are more experianced and wil show me up ...oo no
