I'd say 4500 at most, even then i'd never pay that. Mods don't add value. One modifies a car for the hobby aspect of working on cars, never to add value.

Will he throw in the removal and filling of the holes from that wing for free? If so, then give him $5k and be happy you own an RX7..

Looks like the car was very nicely done ( I even dont mind the wing...weird for me ) but $6k is alot of money for a N/A. Even with the mods done, I wouldnt go much over $4k. Just my opinion..

I got my 88 SE with 117k for 2000. Bone stock in every aspect except for the weird exhaust. You think about it.

Not to be trashing on you, BUT its people like you that people like him can ask that much $ for their car and GET IT. if its exactly what you want then BUY it. but don't settle for it just because rx7s are hard to find where you live. be patient and one will pop up...heck for that price you could have one shipped to you from another state thats a better deal...

i'd offer 3500 and when you pay the guy rip off the wing and throw it in the trash can infront of him and speed off into the sunset.

If you got that kind of bankroll start hitting autotrader.com etc. you might have to go out of state, but you can get much better for less and then have the fun of doing your own mods. Nothing better than knowing what everything on your car is and does than walking into one that's already been modded. I only gave 1100 for my 91 na with a couple of miscellaneous mods. Got it from a lot instead of an owner and I'm still trying to identify the aftermarket stuff. My biggest puzzler is the toggle switch on the side of my column. Too lazy to pull the dash and have no idea where it goes. I think it might be power to electric fuel pump but who knows. Save your cash and find a cheaper bone stock.

Just my .04

**** 2 cents, it's a republican economy.

Yeah, wait it out and you'll find a better deal. I got my car with all the mods listed below (except the rebuilt street-ported motor) for 3000. My car at the time was wearing out, and I had wanted an RX-7 since I was 14, so I was browsing through Ebay and saw it. It was exactly what I wanted on the car, and it turned out it was about 4 blocks down the road.

do it yourself...that way you know what you did and when....and you are not trying to guess when the motor was rebuilt, or if it's rebuilt at all.....I hate the ****** that sold me my 7 ready to die....but I hate myself for jumping the gun and forking over the 5500 bux and then having to pay 4000 to have it rebuilt by Mazda......yes I know it was alot of $$ but it was $4K installed with new hoses and crap.....

mods do add value. if the motor was fresh I'd say 4500 would be a good buy but I'd need a receipt for a claim of a new engine from any seller

4K for a mazda rebuild? Mine was 4k, and that included install, street porting, all new hoses, new plugs and wires, new injectors, plus all the extra labor to fix what the dipshits at Pro Tech did.

$6000 is WAY too much for an 18-year old non-turbo car. Mods don't add value - a lot of times they decrease it. Also, try to find a stock car - I know this is a stereotype but im gonna say it anyway *flamesuit on*: People that mod their cars usually drive them a lot harder then people who don't. I am guilty of this too! So anyway try to find one that some old guy owned that was driven nicely. Try to find one in florida or cali and take a nice 3 day vacation!

Let me think about this for a second, ok I'm done, **** NO.

If he had a gun, he'd be arrested for robbery.

I wouldn't pay a cent over $3500, and that would be PUSHING IT.

thanks for input...been wanting a 7 for awhile and its been really hard to find a nice looking one... i saw one for 3650 but its also a N/A 87 coupe and looks like ****.....
the only reason i want to buy in state is so i can not have to go somewhere far away to get a car or have it shipped to me. having it shipped doesnt souind attractivebecause then i couldnt have it tested by a pro before buying to make sure everything is running okie dokie

*edit*
i love you guys...autotrader is awesome. i looked for like 5 mins and found a red vert in almost perfect condition with low mileage and (stock cept for audio) and for like 2500
