DO NOT pay more than $3000. If you have $5500 to spend on a FC, then go TII my friend!

I love my 86 and all, but I would WAY rather have the TII.

People think shipping a car is a lot of money, when you can buy a newr, nicer, more powerfull RX7 for way less including shipping then I would do that. S5 TII's (pretty sought after) go for less than that in many areas of the country. For that much $$ I would get a newer and stronger TII for less.

Good luck and I hope you find what you want, just don't spend too much only cause yer achin for a 7

Gee, that sounds like my baby.

She was my grandfather's car since the day she left the lot. While he was stupid and took it to random shops and Mazda dealers instead of rotary specialists, it could be worse. And I know that even so, it wasn't driven hard. Heck, she's still JUST under 60k miles.

Mind you, I'm making up for the fact that I didn't pay anything for the car by sinking money into it, but still. I figure that when I'm done, including paint job, I'll be sinking $3k into her for now. Including a new tranny with a manual conversion.

Of course, would be much worse if I wasn't doing 90% of the work myself. Le sigh.

I spent $1500 on my S5 NA off this very forum. it friggin runs great. I would suggest spending aroun $1500-$2000 on a decent ride and spending the rest of yer money($4000-$4500) on making it 10 times the car that that is.

I'm not knockin that car, it is very pretty and nice, but it seems to me that money could be better spent other ways and you would be happier.

I got an 87 gxl w/headers, custom exhaust, lightened flywheel, and an hks intake for 1500. all it needed was the interior material put in and the break caliper replaced. all the parts were included with the car and i installed them myself. and the car had 96,000 miles on it so personally i agree with everyone else and either hold out on a lower price or wait for another car. 6,000 is still too high
