I was in the same position as not seeing the actual flames but knowing i was doing it....so two instances: 1. I let my friend drive my car and he was giving it hell so finally he pulls in and i tell him i didnt see a damn flame! So my friend goes back out of the parking lot and as casual as can be he just shifted to 2nd after shifting out at say 4k and my baby spit out the biggest flame ive ever seen in pics/video or in person. It was 4 feet long by 3 feet wide...heres the crazy part...most people that shoot flames usually hear a poping noise when they do it....this one made no noise whatsoever so i almost pissed my pants when i saw it...how bout that for my first inperson flammage. Instance 2: We were in the middle of a top speed run going near 140 in 4th gear about to shift out (me GTU, friend basemodel) so my friend and I were in the front with a bunch of ricers in the back and they kept on telling us that they could see a flame in our exhaust pipe...I was like no **** it pops flames but they were like no man its like sitting in your muffler so i was like oh **** running to the back of my muffler to check...well finally we do another run and i finally got to see the coolest thing. As the rpms get up there near 6 or 7k the flame that is gonna shoot out is trully sitting in the exhaust canister but that only means that im burning fuel all the way from the motor back (doh) anyways it "sits" there and finally when you shift it turns into this long *** flame thrower somewhere near 3-4ft long. It is the craziest thing to see because you know you do it but its just not the same unless you see it. - oh well thats my 2 cents of why its cool to waste gas. -Gabe

wont the 5th and sixth ports not open when you remove the cats because of the lack of backpressure though?

Don't shoot flames with a cop behind you.... been there, done that... not a good idea....

It was night, he didn't have a lightbar, and I rev'd too high.... was bored sitting at a red light..... rev'ing cuz I love the sound.... then I hear pop, and some pretty lights...

He said.... "If we had emissions I don't think you would pass." He was mostly worried about me melting peoples bumpers that are too close... haha.

Same principles apply in either case. Duals should work fine but might not get as big of flame.

The size of the flame on that top speed run might have been so big because of the airflow around the car at that speed. Still cool, of course, just saying if the same amount of fuel and same volume of gas were exiting the exhaust at a stand still I doubt the flame would have been as big.
