The idea in a stock TII ECU is, that the stock bypass valve vents air that a BOV would vent to the atmosphere back into the intake ala TID. Since the air is vented out, the ECU is readying itself for that air to be released into the TID resulting into a momentary running rich.

Rich+hot open exhaust=fire

**** i know this guy with a highly modded FD, and this woman was riding our ***, going to the liquer store so he says watch this and puts his foot to the floor, the car is sitting there bouncing off the revlimiter and shooting flames accross the womans hood. I almost pissed myself.

Talking MY FORMULA FOR FLAMES!!!!!

Well i Had a
86 sport that shot flames\backfire at redline\shifting\reving
i had a full exhaust
RB headers Short primary
RB pre-silencer
HKS Y-pipe
HKS mufflers

also
89 TURBO
punched cats
glass packs with 4" hks style tips
HKS F-Con set at 8

but for any rx7 i say
just add more fuel
and get a full exhaust (the kind people dont like driving behind cause they start getting high)lol
and Just Be RICH with the fuel and you will Shoot FLAMES!!

I work at midnight at haraahs casino. Its a 25 minute drive to work. On the really dark highway, my flames bring light.

On my T2 I can sit at a light and rev it at 6-7 tapping it to keep it there. It'll hold a flame out the exhaust. I have video of it doing it in my driveway. I had these ricers try to tell me I had a flame kit and that I was trying to copy that seen out of the fast and the furious. Fucked em all up when I told em to look for the kit and that I'm doing it all natural. They dont talk **** no more.

when you cut them you get sort a hollow sound, I don't mind. I just got a header to, I can wait to put that on. I want to see some flames, but I'd rather just have the HP.

^that is awesome

On my old car I had a 4500 rpm rev limiter activated by the clutch switch. At the track when building boost I could hold a 6 foot flame as long as I needed to.

I believe the reason for 87 octane is because it burns faster and hotter than higher octane gasoline. Hence using higher octane to prevent detonation.

On NA rotaries that are not ported anything higher octane is a waste of money and may also cause you to go slower because higher octane burns more slowly and does not fully complete combustion as I understand it.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong or inaccurate about anything.

hehe i flamed a cop one day by mistake. he pulled me over and yanked me out of my car cuz he thought it was going to explode!!! so i had to explane to him they just do that. took me 1/2 an hour to convince him. then he wanted me to prove it would "just do it" so i reved and bonced off the rev limiter and hit his car with a flame. he **** him self cuz he was standing right next to it. that was great. but i got introuble. he tried to get me on vandilism.... damn pig.
