shifter not shifting right
ive got my carr off the road for the winter, and was replacing my shiftboot, and took the assembly apart, and saw that the rubber boot down inside was all kinds of shitty, so i need a new one, if i could get a part #. its a 91 na coupe 5speed. also, i went to take the rest of the old rubber boot off, and ended up taking the shifter out of the tranny. and when i went to put it back in, it is wicked tight in shifting gears. what ever should i do?!?!?!?!

The 3 other rubber boots all come when you order this part number:
FB01-64-490B
To solve the tight shifter, take the shifter apart again and check to make sure you properly aligned the shifter with the alignment dowel.

Any reason I can't use an S4 shift lever and **** in my S5?

Once you replace those boots (don't forget to put some gear oil in that spot) you'll be shocked at how much cooler the shifter and the entire console will stay. Have fun, that innermost boot is a PITA but well worth the hassel.

It's the same except one problem, the metal plate that holds the lever in...
I tried putting an S4 one in today and couldn't figure out why the holes weren't lining up... realized it was 'cause the S4 plate (with 3 holes for the bolts) is slightly bigger.
I could just take the one off my S5.. but he S4 **** is stuck on there pretty well, and it needs to come off to take the plate off. I'll worry about it later... when the OMP is actually working. -_-
Thanks though... the lever itself is the same I think, except the thread of course.
