Ive got an '87 N/A not that i suppose that makes any difference in the world. my issue is this, at 150 -160 kph (100mph-ish) car starts getttin a lil shaky. Is it wheel balance/alignment, aerodynamics...stuff i havent thought of...anything that doesnt cover? I mean it seems happy enough to go faster but gets a lil freaky after 150, might be pushin a whoppin 4500 in 5th, and quite frankly, id like to go faster, if only for the few weeks itll likely take to kill myself.
lol @ reted...
I am sure it is on the back straight of a race track right?
check your wheel balance, it made a huge difference for me... although I haven't got up that fast lately, but around the 100-120 (legal speeds on my local highways...) there is much less vibration. Mine was way out though...

lol or shake my *** off the road at 128 and itll cease to be an issue
and...ummmmm...yes.. the autobahn.. thats where i was driving. I certainly wouldnt be caught dead chasing vettes through town at such speeds. But strictly autobahn speaking.. id like to see the redline in 5th

158.. an im buggin out about the shakes at 100.. i am no mathematician but im comin up with numbers along the line of
"Im missing out on a 50% minimum increase in adrenalin"
and that doesnt even take into account that the adrenalin factor goes up exponentially after i top 85ish. Hell i could be taking YEARS off my life, and with the price of gas, its a damn good thing cuz retirement is definitly out of the question now.
more to the topic tho, would a front and rear wing help at all, or simply decrease the potential top end due to increased drag?

Vibration can be caused by any of the following:
Poor/old tires
out of balance tires
poor alignment of tires
wheel bearing play
Loose/worn Tie Rod (ends)
loose/worn ball joints
and it will be amplfiied by poor/worn/missing suspension bushings.
I may have missed something, but this is a good start.
you will NOT notice a difference of adding a wing, front spoiler, anything else, until you inspect these parts for damage..
100MPH is nothing. You can definately get your car stable at those speeds without anything other than factory spec parts. It will also be a lot safer.
When you're on the autobahn, of course. I mean, what other times would I be talking about?
