CA shaking at 40mph

well my car starts to shake alot at 40mph and the faster i go it will just increase the shaking dose anyone know what it could be

Most likely a wheel bearing or driveshaft u-joint.

In what part of the drive shaft IS the u-joint???

There are 2 joints on the driveshaft, 1 near the tranny, one near the diff. Its one or the other, most likely the one near the diff. Or you might have lost a nut on the driveshaft if you removed it once.

No the nuts are all their i checked it last night.....
So how do i eliminate the problem????

New or used driveshaft or bring it to a driveshaft shop and they will change the U-joints for you.

I would choose the latter. Brand new for the price of a used one.

Not really since its at 40mph and not at a specific rpm. But you could have freakishly unbalanced wheels or snow jammed in them but I doubt you would be wondering what it is.
