I think that you're going to need to give us a little more information before we will be able to tell you much of anything. What kind of car is it, anything leading up to this? Any symptoms before this? Did you mess with anything?

Your profile says you have an MX-6. Do you have an RX-7?

If so, has the 7 always been like this? When was the last time you:

- changed the filters, especially air and fuel
- put in new plugs
- set the TPS
- had anything done with the exhaust (clogged cats will rob you of power)
- put fuel injector cleaner in the gas
- checked that all 4 plugs are getting spark
- checked for vacuum leaks
- inspected/replaced your ground wires
- did a compression check

I don't know how it is in Texas today, but it's sunny and warm here. Get your butt outside and check on some of these things, if you haven't already, and tell us what you find.

Well, I'm not even sure what to make of this post I've had to deal with 2 blown engines in the past but the details you've given us aren't even enough to make a valid statement with :|

i have an 88 with header to straight pipe to borla mufflers. i put a used motor in it and it ran fine, the day it messed up i beat my wifes mx-6 v6 with no problem. after that like 30 minutes or so i left to go to the mall and it was runnin fine then it had like a 3800 rpm stall and that was because one of the injector plugs came off and i pulled over and plugged it back in with the car running. then i proceded on to the highway. when i got on the highway it started to drag and i pressed in the clutch and it died. so i started it while rolling and drove it to the gas station and it died there. when it started again it idled rough and kept it running and drove it home where it died again. yes the rpms are very sluggish and i dont know whats wrong.

One secondary injector unplugged = running lean above 3799rpm = chance of detonation = possibility of one rotor blown. If it vibrates bad in the engine bay when you try to keep it idling, sounds like a lawnmower and has no power, than you may need to do a rebuild. I know these symptoms from personal experience.
