And, is this a Turbo or non turbo car?
EDIT: Actually I'm not really interested in telling someone how to set the tps. On the whole it's a really pretty straight forward propositon. The FSM says a properly set tps at idle will output apporx 1 vdc. That's with a fully hot engine. So set it to 1 vdc and go on to doing something else. The green/red wire is the ouput wire on the tps connector and it's the same green/red wire where it enters the ECU on pin 2G.
If your into wasting your life away messing with the setting of the tps go read the FUEL section of the FSM and ohm the life out of that bugger. The end result, IF you do it right, is an output of..............one (1) vdc of the green/red wire on the tps plug.
Or you can manufacture the two LED lights for installation into the TPS CHECK CONNECTOR (green, three sockets) and follow the instructions in the FSM. It's a free and online FSM. IT"s in the FUEL seciton.

TPS resistance check and LED adjustment:
http://howto.globalvicinity.com/gv_w...i=58&co=1&vi=1
I may update that with the easy 1V method (or was it 0.95V?) method HAILERS mentioned. Or he could do it, I'm just not 100% positive how to do it with S4 and S5.

Setting it down to 0.950k ohms is fine.
I tend to adjust it to slightly under 1k-ohm.
