Do you have the screw on top of the throttle body?
http://howto.globalvicinity.com/gv_w...i=61&co=1&vi=1

edit: you'll also want to set the TPS while you're at it, search for "TPS" on that site and it'll get you there. Or FSM.

For reasons I've never been able to figure out, J-specs 13BT's have no easy way to set idle speed like US models do. I use a temporary intercooler replacement pipe to allow me to reach the throttle stop screw on the TB while the engine's idling. This is silly really, because it means you need to reset the TPS at the same time, and this messes up the ideal balance between primary throttle position and TPS rest position, which hurts drivability. I'm sure there has to be a better way, but until I can find a copy of the Japanese FSM, and then learn Japanese, I don't know what it is.

The best solution for you guys is to use a US-spec BAC valve complete with adjustable bypass screw.

It would be profoundly awesome to learn Japanese just to read the FSM.

Yes, the screw just adjusts a how much air passes through it into the manifold. More air = higher idle speed.
