Using Fuel only ECU MT4

Has any one used a microtech MT4 fuel only ecu on a FC and kept the stock iginition?
With fuel control and being able to use any injectors what is the limitation of the Stock ignition system?
How much boost can the stock system handle? I know it stops retaring at 8 psi. at what point is 8 deg retard not enough?

Without a load signal from the AFM the stock ECU won't advance and retard timing as load changes. I have no idea what default timing would be used but suffice to say it's far from ideal. If it's a setting that gives good low-load performance it'll be dangerously advanced at high load. If it's a setting that gives safe high-load performance it'll result in poor response at low load. It'll probably be something in between, leaning towards the latter.

A pre-86 dizzy/coils set-up would be better. A fuel and ignition computer would be much better.
