Serious Idle Problems

I realize that there have been many write-ups about idle problems, but my father and I can't figure out our own problem

When you turn on the car it hovers between 600 to 800 going back and forth, then when the car is warmed up it stays at 1300 rpms. We have adjusted the TPS, and can't figure out what is going on.

Thanks guys, without this forum my car wouldn't be running today.
Sam

No, we put the stock intake back onto the car. The guy before us did a Home Depot racing job on it. We have a 87 TII.
Thanks

another thing ive noticed in all of my fc's is that if you use one specific gas changing brands or octane will flip out a rotary. I cant explain why this would matter but like most imports including the sr's and ka 240's lower octane will not agree with the car. Of course these are just small fixes i am experiencing similar difficulties but im am running an entire new set up.

i havent done any t2s yet but you might wanna see what kinda gas and if any other additives were being run on the car i think the computer might be confused but dont quote me im not an exact expert. investing in an apex'i SAFC wont hurt either. i just got one on my fc n/a with t2 injectors and it hasnt completely gotten rid of the problem but its made it easier to work with.

Absolutely sounds like a vacuum leak. When my GTU was leaking, low in the RPM's (warming up) it would bounce the idle, but if you revved it (to say...1300 rpm+...) the idle was stable. But before hand, re-adjust TPS, CAS, and make sure you're AFM is securely plugged in. If not..start lookin' for vacuum leaks!
