belt squeel when downshifting?

belt squeel when downshifting?

sometimes when i downshift from 4th to 3rd or 3rd to 2nd ill a squeel that sounds like a belt....does anyone know what it could be?

If it sounds like a belt then check to make sure that all your belts are properly tightened.

its most likely your alt but im not sure. i had the same problem but i tigthened it and it went away. i think theres a thread that explains how tight your belts should be and how to do it.
