This Is Serious!
Ok so the other day i posted stating that my oil metering pump was bad, well ive herd from a few people that my car would not even run if this was the case. So I have a 91 N/A With 80,000 original miles and apon start up everything is fine. Once i let off the clutch in first gear and get up to about 5grand the check engine light comes on and the car starts bucking like back and fourth. It kinda feels like the car isnt getting fuel. When you let off the gas it keeps going but once you start climbing rpms it continues to happen. Someone please help ive spent over $3800 on trying to fix this problem and alls ive got were just some shrugged shoulders. Thanks David

First pull the code as to why the light is on:
http://fc3spro.com/TECH/HOWTO/ERRORC...KI/kerror.html
Don't know what's been done to the car for $3800, but if I hope you're not driving the car with a bad OMP. The car will run, but it goes into limp mode, and no oil is drawn into the engine. If the OMP was defective and was replaced, it has been found that when the OMP fails, the failure with knock out the ecu also.
It's a start.

I am driving the car just a couple miles back and fourth to the repair shop but the weird thing about it is that i have already replaced the OMP twice from Rx7Heaven.com Is there any chance that my car has blown 3 OMP's? If I wanted to premix what do i need to do? Can i premix and leave the OMP on there? If I premix, how long will it take to to notice the difference? Thanks For The Feedback David

YIKES! OMPS cost a fortune unless you are pulling it from a junker. I have read that there is a very high chance that if you lose the OMP, it will take out the ECU with it. So you may have a bad ECU now. Don't quote me on that though. I'm sure one of the experts will chime in and confirm.

Since you really dont know if the omp is working you can premix.Just use like 2oz. of 2 cycle oil per every 5 gallons of gas.Premixing is a pain in the *** to do but i think its better then the omp system

have you checked the codes? if you've spent $3800 trying to fix this, you need a new mechanic. pump brand new is $1400, ecu is only $900ish....

Well the $3800 is a combination of 3 different mechanics! Ohh well i bought some 2 cycle engine oil and im thinking about trying that out. What is the closest rotary specialist to Raleigh N.C.? Please let me know, And i again thank you for the help David

sounds like a fuel problem with the bucking and stuff, but what do I know. I can almost gaurantee the premix is not gonna do anything, but lemme know if it stops the bucking.

if your OMP is dead, just secure the oil lines and premix instead, its better for the engine anyways
do not drive the car until it has been premixed, because youre basically driving a car that isnt fully lubricated
