How do you know they dont open?

They are supposed to open around 3800 rpm...under load? Probably, I dont know. It seems logical.

Did you remove the air pump? If thats the case, theres your problem.

Since it's an S5 I'd check the air pump while you're at it, pressure from that is whats us to actuate the 5th and 6th port.
Where in VA are you?

You can make the secondary injectors come online in your driveway. Do like the FSM suggests. Remove the vacuum hose from the boost/pressure sensor. Cap/plug the line.

NOW, each time you rev to approx 3800rpm, the secondary injectors WILL come online. Even in your driveway. You'll know they came online because the engine will sound *funny* as they come online. What'll happen is the duty cycle of the primarys will be cut in half as the secondarys come online. The airflow won't be ideal so the mixture will be a bit *off* as they come online resulting in the *funny* sound of the engine at approx 3800rpm.

There should be 12vdc on the black/white wire anytime the key is ON or better.

The other wire on the plug is controlled by the ECU and the ECU puts a ground on that wire to operater the solenoid. You might try putting a gnd on that wire when the engine is idling to see if the actuators work or NOT. As in leave the plug on the solenoid and backprobe a gnd to the wire that is NOT black/white.

Your right. I just saw secondarys and...........assumed without reading the whole thing.

And it's not the switching solenoid, its called the 6PI solenoid and has a brown electrical connector on it. Only operates under load unless you jumper a gnd to the wire I mentioned in a post above. Then it should open and feed air to the aux ports actuators and they should operate.

Just put grease on the shafts, take for a spirited drive and see if the grease has wiped off.

I fixed it. They wernt opening. I had power to the switch and the switch tested fine. where it plug up there wasnt making a good conection. A little corrosion in side the plug. I stuck the test light in the back and it checked out fine so i ruled it out to early. Cut the wires and put to knew spade ends on and now its like i got a turbo. thanks for the help everyone.
