Question Secondaries..how do I know...

I was wondering something. I know that the secondary injectors in my '86 dont work. But, I cannot figure out how to tell if it is the chip, or the injector itself that is the problem. Anyone know how to figure that out?

Also, how much do you think it would cost to replace/fix the secondary system, if labor was $80/hr.?

Go out to the car and swap the primaries with the secondaries. Or tap into the out put signal to the secondaries from the ECU and monitor the voltage with a meter to see if your getting a voltage drop when you stomp the pedal and are over 3500 rpm. Or and go to the ECU and monitor to see if your getting approx 12v at the secondaries signal wires when the key is turned to on. That at least would confirm the continuity of the wiring to and from the secondaries. EDIT: Wiring diagrams available with the complete factory service manual at http://www.iluvmyrx7.com for free. EDIT: The output from the ECU is from the small plug on the ECU. Light green wire with a red stripe, and light green and white wire. Should be 12v with the key to on and the 12v should drop when your heavy on the pedal and over 3500 rpm.
