seatbelts & acutators

I'm going to get my FC this weekend from some private seller in Van Nuys.

I have one problem and one question.

Problem: the automatic seatbelt sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. has anyone had similar problems? how can i fix it? i read that mazda has a life time warranty on seatbelts, so that means i can just go to them and they'll fix it right?

Question: The actuators that open and close the 5th and 6th ports are not working. Is it an easy fix or is it recommended to just replace them?

on the belts its a lifetime recal. mazda will fix em free. if they try to charge give em hell. try cleaning the sleaves on the aux ports. there is a good write up in the archive. it usualy does the trick if they are stuck.

Hope that works. just pring it out and it looks like a color photo copy.

There is also a phone number on there that they tell you to call if your dealer is being a *****.

its okay. i just barely made out the number to call on the pic. i called the mazda hq and had to wait for about 20 minutes before the dam operator picked up. well, to find out for sure, i need to get the VIN.
by the way, if you call mazda, they actually have a recording of a rotory engine! i thought that was pretty funny. the number is (800) 222-5500.

lol nice! To find your vin just look on the inside of the door or on the dash or inside the engine bay on the fire wall. All should be something like "JDM3bla bla bla bla"

The actuators are likely not the problem. Clean the sleeves and they will probably start working again.

what do you mean? this may sound stupid but i know the seat belts have nothing to do with the actuators. :: having said that, if the actuators dont work, then i should just clean up the sleeves to get them working?
Thanks again.
