Seafoam?

I've been using Seafoam on all my cars, just wondering if this works on rotaries as well.

Anyone have any experiences?

I've heard it works fine and can be used the same ways (via gas tank, straight into the motor...). I plan on using some in my RX-7, but I have a lot of other things that are coming first.

I did it in mine, only I didn't let it sit in the motor. I ended up getting a lot better gas mileage, but that could have been from my safc as well.

Anyone have pics of the hoses used to suck up the seafoam into the engine?

dumped it in the tank, let it settle a little (put in w/about 1/8 tank left), then ran the car and sat in the car in case it would try to stall while running through the system. it runs noticeably better now.

though if your motor's on its last leg and you put that through and it cleans up some carbon that's actually keeping your motor running (as in, once it's gone, you're exposing a leak or something), you could be in for some fun

I have a big old gallon of it. I run it through the engine every so often through the Pressure Sensor line. I figure one day when I get around to it I'll drop it directly into the lower intake and rotate by hand let sit and repeat (While I'm swapping out my vacuum lines).

shouldnt the vac lines up by the throttle body be the best place to suck it up through, i mean doesnt the vac line for the pressure sensor only go into one rotor housing?

I heard it goes to both rotors, and also that that is where other people have supplied water for the 'water treatment' on these motors (myself included).

My only concern would b the o2 sensor and the catylitic converter. Ive heard lots of people using this stuff. I would b safe and just use distilled water

I also would do it right before you're about to change spark plugs, as it can gunk them up a bit.

I dont have a cat, but I do havea wideband. Spark plugs are also an issue like rearview mirror mentioned. Water is cheaper too.
