Question SeaFoam: Opinions?

Hey guys, I searched for about an hour and a half on "SeaFoam" related topics, and came up with nothing but junk. Not only that, but most of the stuff that I DID find was related to 2nd Gens. Anyways, I'm curious to hear everyone's OPINIONS on using SeaFoam in an FD. I'm currently running a pig-rich map, and have been for a couple thousand miles. My car smokes a little on startup, and smokes a lot(from what other people tell me) at WOT. People tell me it is a mostly black smoke, so I know that is fuel, but I'm wondering if carbon buildup could have anything to do with it. I just had the engine tested about 2k ago, and had 100psi on every face @ 53,000 on orginal motor.

I'm going to be heading in for a tune shortly, and I want to make sure I have the car in it's best running condition before I waste my money on less power and effeciency. If carbon buildup is going to affect my performance/engine life in ANY way, I'd like to do whatever I can to get rid of it. I've read a lot of mixed opinions on SeaFoam, but 95% of people are all about it. My biggest concern is a large chunk of carbon coming undone and either messing up an apex seal, or going through the exhaust fins.

Opinions are GREATLY appreciated! ~A-Rod

As with everything on this forum....YMMV. However, I used it, and didn't find any problems. I ran pretty rich before using it, as well. Did my car run better after I used it? Marginally. But may not have been as bad as I thought.

Make sure you pour it into the front vacuum nipple and rear vacuum nipple or brake booster fitting on the UIM to get both rotors. Or, if you're so inclined, put some through the spark plug holes.
