Screwed up Big time

I feel like such a idiot . Ok heres the story. Im driving to work (Car lot) and im kinda giving it in 3rd gear then when i go to shift to 4th it wouldnt let me and the rev limiter beep goes off and my rpms are bouncing of 8KRPM. So it took me like 3 seconds to realize wtf is going on so i shut the car off pull over to the side of the road and see what the hell happen. I lift my foot and I see that my FLOOR MAT IS STUCK ON THE GAS PEDEL. I remove the floor mat and THREW IT as far as possible. I get back in the car and it started up fine. So I was kinda relieved BUT I get to work park my car and leave it there for a while. I go to check on it about 2 hours later and notice that im LEAKING OIL. I pull the car out put it in the lift that we have at the car lot. I cleaned the undertray and all the oil. My oil pan was very loose so i tighten up the bolts. I cleaned all the oil and it seemed fine. But once I got home I notice a liltle bit more oil droping down.

My question is what could i have damaged.

It kinda seems like the oil is coming from the driver side of the engine. The car still pulls strong and everything.

Sounds like you got a flooding problem as well. Get your fuel injectors cleaned (~$200)
I vote oil lines for the leak.

Yeah check the oil line to and from the cooler. Also check under the oil filter, maybe those O rings are bad. Also cross fingers and look at where it says Mazda 13b on the motor and hope those O rings arent leaking...

I've got a leak in the same spot. I haven't traced it down yet though. There is oil above the engine block though, so I think thats a good sign. Think it might be leaking from where you put the oil in somewhere. Where exactly are the oil cooler lines though?

I once had a loose floor mat slip under and bunch up beneath my brake pedal at the worst possible time such a thing could have happened. I got out of it, but since then, I've never used a floor mat on the driver's side :P
