just go buy some screws that fit in there, or find some that do and make it work.

Its probably because the last person who pulled your instrument cluster broke the tabs that the screw go into because they didn't lower the column enough. Common error.........

You can get screws that fit at any auto parts store. They generally carry the black tinted screws, the wide screws for trim, etc. Even cheaper at a fastener store.

However as mentioned, the column cover is an often-broken part. You may find that the actual cover is broken around the clips and screw holes.

I use plastic epoxy and glued an hard plastic pieces to replace the broken ones, then I drill it and use the original screws.

I did this with fiberglass cloth, same result... works great though. I plan on doing it with my entire dash while its out. Lots of hairline cracks and such that I wouldn't mind re-enforcing.
