Scattershield install pictures - TII

Hey guys,
Just thought some of you may be interested. Just installed a scattershield from: www.theracingstore.com on my transmission.

Installing it didn't take long at all, had to remove a few 10mm bolts to get shields off the transmission. Also shaved a couple spots on the bellhousing, here is the final product. Fits EXCELLENTLY, so if anyone else is looking around for a scattershield I highly recommend looking at this one, I'm very impressed with the fitment.

The scattershield has brackets welded so the transmission to engine bolts hold it tightly in place.

Scattershiled ended up being about $300 canadian shipped to my door. The piece of mind is worth it in my opinion, much better than a ballistic blanket...

If the clutch/flywheel explodes/let's go it's contained, less chance of the car getting damaged, less change of the driver/passenger getting hurt, overall safety. Also some race regulations may require you to have one depending on how fast the vehicle is.

I'm hoping it can make near 400 rwhp, but we will see how it goes, you never know until you actually try.

Glad they finally got it to you. Worth the wait, eh? Did the block-off plate work out for you?

Hey, been meaning to PM you. I made a stupid mistake, I forgot that you were using the REW. Since I have the s5 TII block it doesn't have the hole that this block off plate would have covered.

Basically I was wondering how you blocked the heater core to block hole (or are you still running the heater core?), and the accelerated warm up nipple on the top of the iron (looks like you used a AN/metric plug?)?

Thanks again for sending those things out to me I really appreciate it!

lol, I sense heavy sarcasm. The reason for me posting this is to help out anyone else looking to get a scattershield. There is no other threads showing how it fits, or any good installed pictures. So I figured i'd post some pictures just so if someone else searches it up it can be of some help to them.

No, I'm dead serious. That car is sick. I am envious. I just hope you never have to utilize the function of the scatter shield!

Oh sorry I thought you were making a sarcastic remark.

Here is a different picture of the rear tires. No rims yet because i'm waiting on the rear end and rear wilwood brakes.

Very nice! I've been debating doing something similar, using a blanket, or welding plate to the underside of the car in the tunnel...

Your shield actually looks a lot different than mine. I guess it's because I got mine from them a couple years back. The fit looks a lot better, especially on the turbo-side of the tranny.
