From what I know they're only like 3 of them in the United States. And I pretty shure they're around 350-400hp.

Lol. I guess it's true what they say.

"Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer."

Alright, you're new, no big deal. A savannah RX-7 is the exact same turbo II we got here in the states. Savannah is just another name for mazda. Sort of like Toyota:Lexus :: Mazda:Savannah. Get it? Try searching next time, million and one threads on this very same subject. Peace!

I took a guess about the HP since the ones I've seen were around there. And I was shure they wern't sold in the states so they're pretty rare. I heard that only 3 people had them in the states from some forum a while ago. Oh well, people learn from mistakes.

Yeah, Sorry but you came off as a Init D freak.

His car is the same as a US Turbo II(two).
They're like 200 hP for 89-91 US RX7's and like 180hp for 86-88 Turbo's.

Savanna is I believe the same/just diff name like stated above. Savanna/Efini/Infini same as Mazda like Honda to Acura.

The One rare model would be the Infini which has no sunroof and less weight with about 10 more horse I think.

SO...
If you want a Savanna in the US then buy a 89-91 Turbo II which usually sells for about 4-5K for a good one.(only differences would be:
Left hand drive and has emmisions equipment.

As mentioned above Savanna is just the name the 1st and 2nd gen RX-7 was sold under in Japan.

Savanna RX-7, instead of the Mazda RX-7.

and sort as reported above, Infini was Mazda's in house sport tuned versions.

The Third Gen RX-7 was sold under the Efini name in Japan instead of the Mazda or Savanna names.

so Savana is just a name born from mazda, that makes me wonder.. r the any more models under savanna name?

MtnRacer, i did search around, they were useless infos and nothing more... -_-;;

Digi7ech, so savanna is just like the american RX-7 FC3S with turbo II producing 200hp? hmm... where did 202 hp come from? i heard that the savanna was a special model that started off with 202 hp (turbo included)
Could you also tell me more about this "The One rare model would be the Infini which has no sunroof and less weight with about 10 more horse I think" like what type model and such? and tell me more about it

i still find the name Savanna impossible to be the distinguished name of mazda, because it would be the only car, and the only model under the name "savanna". lexus, and acura are only in north america to distinguish the luxury modesl from the normal ones, they don't do that in japan....

The savana RX-7 is the same except on the back it says Savana RX-7. The infini's came with some extra options I believe like bucket seats and were slightly lighter (on some of them). Don't quote me on this. It's just what I've heard

Oh and your last post sounded incredibly hostile so I will tell you that the Infini IV was the model with no sunroof and made 212 Horsepower. Why are you attacking someone that answered your question all of a sudden?

Infini's were never released here in the states. Get an NA if you're new, TII's can be headaches unless you know exactly what you're getting into.

I don't know why you're so concerned with stock HP numbers. Rotaries respond extremely well to minor mods.

for some reason, i'm just interested in stock HP numbers... maybe becuz i'm too lazy to make any modifications or dont want to waste money to buy modifications... :P

but i will keep in mind that rotaries respond well to minor mods

OK, look. I'll answer this once and for all. NO INFINI RX-7 TURBOII'S WERE SOLD IN NORTH AMERICA. It's just a special version of the FC, kinda like Type R but not gay. It's got like 12 more hp than a stock S5 TurboII and no stereo, sunroof and all those goodies, manual everything (gotta skimp on weight) and with nice lightweight buckets. There. And your welcome.

Here's two off the bat

https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...threadid=89181

https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...threadid=77455

And since you're liable to ask about infinis soon, I highly suggest you check out this thread:

https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hlight=savanna

Pretty much every question has been asked, just gotta keep your "new post" trigger finger calm. =) No sweat though, it's a good question. And we were able to save the thread before misinformation about about 350 horsepower RX7s from the factory got too wide spread. I think our work is done here.

My bootlid has Savanna RX-7 on one side and Mazda on the other. Note the correct spelling of Savanna.

You must have missed Icemark's post. Infini is the rare upgraded FC model with the badge that looks like an infinity symbol. Efini is the sales channel Mazda used to sell FD's in Japan. The two are completely different.

i'd put the infini badges on my tii if they were molded like the rx-7 and mazda badges are... but its just a sticker.

stickers are bad

mmkay?

oh btw, those infini bucket seats, how hard are *they* to find? that'd be a neat upgrade

Its a good thing you didnt post this in the 3rd gen forum.. They are a little less forgiving of this. If you are serious then you need to do a lot more research on the car and less "i saw it on inital d and its kool."

I agree. Its the same with the Club4AG.com guys when a wannabe drifter kid wants a Trueno because of Initial D.

I'd say leave the FC's to the true rotary and RX7 enthusiasts, not some Initial D fans who want it because "Takahashi Ryosouke" drives one...
