JonEQuest - I'm 16 and yes it will be my first car.

DanH - i'm not just a Initial D fan who just wants it becuz Ryosuke has one, mainly because I'm a BIG fan of Rotaries and i AM a true rotary enthusiasts and my friend(also a rotary enthusiast and owns a FC3S GTU) refered me to this site for many infos and stuff.

MtnRacer - thanks for the links, it's got good infos... although i wonder how i couldn't find them when i searched... :S

Shmapdi - I do realize that no Infini's were sold in North America, but I'm just wondering if some people have imported them from japan or something... i'd really like to get that car, perhaps i'll import one from japan..

dr0x - I do not wish to put away my wallet and resume watching Initial D for I have seen it 7 times :P, i would like to make initial d REAL :P

The Infini badge does look nice... better than the stickers

any more post about this car and info r welcome

I got this from another forum thread posted by MtnRacer...

Infini IV

weighed in at about ~2700 lbs(?)
215h due to a higher flowing exhaust(?)
4.3 rear end
no sunroof
no A/C
no power anything,
no radio
no speakers
no power steering
no ABS
no power windows
no rear windshield wiper or squirter
stiffer springs
a front strut bar
eliminated rear steer
special lightweight seats
special 16" BBS mesh rims with the Infini "Lazy Eight" centercaps
some weight reduction due to sound dampening materials removed(?)

i also checked another forums and it said that the Infinis were slower than the Turbo II which really has me confused since it has higher hp and less weight...
but I think I dont want to buy a Infini anymore, no speakers no radio no ABS

I shall get a S5 Turbo II then...

What do you mean nope?
Icemark is right.

Infini is the rare edition of a FC while the 3rd gens all come with efini badges.

Although I like the Efini badge more. It's so damn seksay!

why would you put an Efini badge on an FC? just a question, since efini is 3rd gen, not 2nd. This is kinda like the people who put GTR on mustangs and stuff. Its not funny, just leave the car unbastardized. I think we have a 2nd gen version of 3RotorRocket starting up here

i really hope you dont try to learn how to drift from initial d. i also hope that another FC isnt lost to a guard rail or a ditch because of someone messing around trying to drift.

dont worry, i'm not gonna do exactly what they did from initial d, i'm going to take it step by step and not push it so i wont scratch my beautiful rx-7

as for the efini badge, i just thought it might look SWEEEEEETTTT on an FC

Dude, you sound like the ricer who just found out about a civic. Plz do us all a favor and do some research before you get a 7 and put efini badges on it and then kill yourself trying to drift down a mountain.

First off you say you are a true rotary enthusist.. Then please explain to us how come you didnt already know about the savanna and infini models. I dont think any of us have a problem with you comming on here and asking about information. Its just you come on here sounding like a kid who just watched initial d and thinks if he gets that car hes gona be the ****. Thats all i have to say about this.. If you do import a car from japan i hope you have huge pockets, if you get a tII i pray you dont kill yourself.

Ive seen the Efini badge on a few FC's too. They do look neat, but alas on the wrong gen

If you claimed to be a "true rotary enthusist" you would know that having an rx-7 for a 1st car is bout the worst decision you could make.

I didn't even know what an RX-7 was until I watched Initial D. I will admit that Initial D is the reason that I got into cars but that led to other things first like Gran Turismo then Speed vision. After broadening my racing horizons beyond Initial D (just a little bit) I still wanted an FC. I bought a TII (16 years old first car) and it kicks ***. Its reliable if you treat it right and anyone that tells you differently just doesn't want you to have the same car as them. Either that or you sound like some ricer idiot to them.

Rule number one: Don't put things on your car. Period. The exterior of the TII's are considered beautiful on this forum. If you change the exterior in any way, don't let anyone on here know about it

Rule number Two: Research an insane amount before going out to buy a TII. It is absolutely necessary that you know what you are doing prior to buying the car unless you plan to let it sit in your garage. I read and read and read this forum for over a year before buying my car and I'm glad I did.

Drifting is dangerous. Make sure you make it as safe as possible (parking lot).

Have fun when you get a TII.

Yup, I agree with rule number #2 the most. Even I did tons of research and lurking on this forum until I was exactly sure that I was going to spend my hard earned money on an FC.

well then, i'll research some more on this TII or perhaps just get a NA and get used to it then upgrade it to TII, just to b on the safe side. Now some of u think i'm not a true rotary enthusiats because i dont kno much about the FC? mainly becuz i just developed my love for rotaries a month ago, u can't expect me to kno everything about it on a short notice. yes i do kno drifting is dangerous, but there's a small practise autocross track nearby (aka parking lot :P)

Freaky Monkey007 - u really kno how to offend anyone without stating so

PureSephiroth - maybe i'll just do what u do, read all about the rx-7's in this forum and go on rule #2. btw i found out about the rx-7 just like u did, and broaded my horizon of racing and car world through many things

btw I AM NOT A F*CKING RICER, it truely offends me for someone to call me that
