Is it safe washing FC rotary engine?

My FC under hood engine is sooo dirty.

I'm asking you if it is safe washing it washing it with high pressure lance and a cleaning product.
If you have done it what precautions have you take?

Thank you.

I would never advise anyone to wash an engine bay, 30 years old or brand new, with "high pressure...

Be intelligent about it. First, none of the connectors used on the engine/emissions hardness are waterproof. Cover the battery and fuse box with plastic bags. Maybe some Simple Green and a light rinse, and that would be it. These cars are trouble enough, no need to poke the bear by shooting water where it doesn't belong.

its fine. you do want the car warm when you do it. you also need to be a little careful, it'll take the sticker off the airbox for instance.

I've washed my bay/engine with high pressure many times with no ill effects.
I cover the small KN pod filter on the air pump inlet with a baggie and all my electrical connectors are treated with dielectric grease,
There is nothing inherently special or fragile about a rotary engine.

Cover filter and all your electrical. As everyone said, I wouldn’t run it on high though

I've pressure washed many cars of my own and as a technician over the years. Don't directly spray electronics, stickers, air filters etc as mentioned with high pressure setting. be careful around rubber (hoses, wires) as the high pressure water can cut into it. Give it all a soak with some engine degreaser and warm it up first. Give it a hand scrub with tooth brushes and rags before spraying with water. Use brake clean on stubborn spots, and blow dry with a blow gun (or a leaf blower at the least).

I've washed dozens of engines and high pressure is fine as long it's not paint stripping high pressure, just cover your air inlet and getting the electrical components and sensors is fine. I've never had any issues
