Safe way to remove water spots without washing fully?
I have some water spots I want to get rid of before they etch the paint, but I\'m not sure if it would be alright to remove them without actually washing the car. They\'ve been on there for about a week, I\'m not sure how long it takes before it damages the paint. I read about using white vinegar and spraying it on, letting it sit, then wiping it off, can that be done without a full wash? I may be able to wash it tomorrow if it gets warm enough, but I just want the water spots off now.

Best place to check for detailing type info is: http://www.autopia.org/
How long does it take before more permanent damage occurs from these? It\'s actually been less than a week and it wasn\'t in the sun so I think I should be ok.

I got it out and washed it today and the spots are all gone, cleaned up very nicely. Next time I wash it I'll have all the stuff I need, I'll throw some wax/polish on it before I put it away for the Winter and clean it much better in the Spring. Too cold to do that thorough of a job right now.
