You can only lie to a person. You cannot lie to a machine, that's a ridiculous idea. What you are doing with a fuel controller is calibrating the AFM's signal to give you the results you want.

I wouldn't trust a system like that when every other signal the ecu gets is correct for a specific load, rpm, ect except one critical component.
This makes no sense. The ECU only really needs two sensors to run the engine; the CAS (for rpm and engine position) and the AFM (for airflow). Everything else is simply corrections based on the current operating conditions. When you alter the airflow signal it does not mean all of the other corrections suddenly become wrong. You're making a big deal out of very little.

The up arrow is important.
Then do an "initialize" & power off/on.

That should reset your low/high throttle calibration.
