so if i brought the afc settings down to 0%,my car would just use the stock ecu settings right?or would i have to completely take out the afc for proper troubleshooting?what do you recommend doing?im troubleshooting a problem i have which is raw unburnt fuel smoke and odur at idle,i still have to get a fuel pressure gauge to check the fuel pressure at idle.this problem started happening right before i stored it,also a bit of blue smoke only at idle but i'll deal with that later.
and by the way i know for a fact my afc settings were way to high to begin with,i didnt know much bout tuning before the tuner installed my afc and tuned it..i now know he didnt know wtf he was doing.i finally have the car in driveway no license yet though so this whole year is dedicated to fixin up the rx7.this problem never happened right away but after i put 20,000 on the engine after afc and 20b pump was installed,so this is just the beginning...

s5 turbo
20b pump
intake,rb turbo back exhaust
stock port engine /turbo wastegate ported out.
safc
680 secondaries,550 primaries

I would try and bypass the S-AFC to totally eliminate the S-AFC as a culprit.

You don't need to totally remove the S-AFC; you just need to short the input and output wires to bypass.

I can't confirm what that'll do; I dunno if the S-AFC has an internal shunt that'll kick in in case the unit loses power...

That will disable your AFM functions. Seeing how that wire was cut when Installing the S-AFC. Try disconnecting the S-AFC, as I did, your car will quit on you.

well..finally brought car home after months, first thing that happend when i changed the spark plugs was this thick white smoke cuz of rich mixture(coolant never bubbled, neither was the smell sweet)so i turned down the afc quite a bit and car stopped running rich, stopped the thick white smoke, now all its burning is oil, need a new engine.someone told me it could be running rich because i installed a 20b pump but this problem happened 20,000km after i installed the pump and someone told me the fuel could be washing away the oil in the housings and thats why im getting oil burning, but oil is burning because i misshifted and revved to about 12-13grand which probably fried the oil seal,no rough idle or anything.i'll check fuel pressure anyways.just want to thank u guys for helpin me out here..just thought id let u know the outcome.if theres anything else i'll post it..
